I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since we were in Fiji getting hitched! Time has flown by so quickly. To celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, Greg and Carol graciously offered to take the kids to the cabin for the weekend and very generously treated us to a weekend at the Heritage House Resort in Mendocino. The resort has been recently renovated, the little cottages dotted across the resort’s ground have been very tastefully redecorated with modern amenities yet maintain their rustic, Mendocino feel. We dined at the MacCallum House in Mendocino on Saturday night and also watched one of the NBA playoff games at Patterson’s Pub. Can’t remember the last time the two of us had so much free time!
A trip to Mendocino wouldn’t be complete without exploring some of the trails in Jackson Demonstration State Forest, we spent most of the day on Saturday riding amongst the redwoods, love the trails up there. I had my GPS with me the last time we rode the JDSF trail system with a guide so we could go back by ourselves without fear of getting lost, we were thankful we had the route mapped on it at a few of the unmarked forks in the trails. Thanks so much Carol and Greg for such a generous anniversary treat!

10 years already? Congratulations. Looks like the perfect week end getaway for you. We spent the weekend in Calistoga for our 36/42 anniversary. 36 married and 6 more living together. The weather was in the low 90’s. We dined al fresco for all meals. What a treat.
