We headed out to Inverness this weekend for an early Thanksgiving gathering with Lisa’s parents, brother’s family and grandmother. It was a beautiful spot with fantastic ground for the kids to explore, many hours of fun on the tennis court with balls and bikes.
After a breakfast of Grandpa Greg’s famous cinnamon rolls Lilia and I headed out to a singletrack nearby called the Estero Trail, a fun five-or-so mile jaunt along the edge of Drakes Estero to a secluded cove called Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach wasn’t much of a beach but Lilia enjoyed it all the same and the views of Point Reyes National Seashore from the trail were magnificent. Who would have thought she could talk for two hours without a breath from her seat on the bike behind me!
Saturday night Greg prepped a bag full of BBQ oysters for us all before dinner, so tasty, I think my favorite was the butter/garlic with hot sauce combination. The hard ginger beer Lilia and I made a few weeks back was a nice accompaniment, too. Seafood cioppino for dinner with some good wine and then back here to Geyserville, both kids were asleep as soon as the truck was rolling out of the driveway. Thanks for organizing such a fun weekend Carol!
These photos and memories of having family together put joy in my heart. Thank you Sam for your good work and lively Ginger Beer.
Thanks so much for sharing – such fun children.
Cute cousins, loved watching the little ones interact. Thank you Gma and Gpa!
