The girls paid us a visit for the MLK long weekend, great to have them up for a few days of hot laps on the groomers of Sugar Bowl. Everyone was excited to see each other on Friday night, with lots of hugs and kisses all-around as the girls walked in the door (I think Max even let his mum plant one on him, which is rare!).
One of Wild Man’s goals this season has been to perfect his spins. Last Thursday when I picked him up from school in the dark he was a little more chipper than usual, and after a bit of prodding he couldn’t keep it in: he landed his first 360 earlier in the day. We went to Old 40 Bar and Grill to celebrate with Jarrid and Jacque, who paid us a quick surprise visit so Jarrid could collect a boat he purchased in Reno. Maxie plastered a dollar note on the Old 40 bar with “I did my first 360 today” written on it, stuck right next to the other dollar note from years ago when he popped a 180 as a little grom. He was all pumped to launch a spin in front of Mum this weekend – which he did a couple of times – but also rag dolled quite badly on his last attempt on Monday: full ejection from both skis, bloody nose, the works. Seems Wild Man has a little more 360 practice ahead of him…
It was fun for me to get Lisa out on her touring setup for the first time, she definitely earned her Old 40 libations with a 1500 vertical climb from the village to the top of Lincoln on Sunday afternoon: shaky legs and a little blotchy by the time she reached the top! We had beautiful weather and spring-like temps all weekend, thank God for those monster storms that came through back-to-back a few weeks ago, otherwise the mountains would be hurting with all these blue skies.

As Gramps V would say, Absolutely Stunning!
Looks good have fun
You guys are looking GREAT. You have some excellent snow. I ⛷ Sun Valley on 1/25/2026. I generally ski once a year due to GREAT price put on the Allegiance Airline in Sun Valley. Here in IDAHO the snow is marginal. There are some resorts closed due to lack of snow. Enjoy the snow while it last.
Great you got out there Al! We could do with some more snow, but yes, we’re much better off than the Rockies right now…
