Seeing an Earthquakes game has been on our to do list for many years, but the games are always pretty late in the evening and given the season stretches over spring/summer we always seem to be busy. We had a rare weekend at home this weekend and secured some tickets to see the National Women’s Soccer League’s newest expansion team in their inaugural season down in San Jose: Bay FC. Both the kids play soccer so were enthralled with the game, it was awesome to see the ladies bring it home 3-2 against the visiting Seattle Reign. Such phenomenal crowd involvement, was a lot of fun. Neither Lisa or I had ever been to PayPal Park, it’s a great stadium with excellent views of the field from pretty much any seat and a picturesque backdrop of the East Bay mountains to the eastern side of the field. Apart from the $17.50 (tall) cans of beer and mayhem getting in and out of the parking for the game, it was well worth the trip. Hopefully we can make the trip down there again sometime this season…
A great experience for the budding soccer players and their proud parents!
