Fun learning on the farm!
What happened to the shaved wool? Will it be Graded at Fair time and lambs too? GREAT experience for Max and family.
Alright! Great photos. A nice summer Cut! So is someone going to learn how to spin wool and then knit or crochet??? Maybe even dye wool while you are at it? I took a class at SRJC probably 45 years ago using natural products to dye wool. Was so much fun!
The wool (sadly) gets turfed, there just isn’t a market for it. Max has kept a couple of handfuls from each sheep, but the rest of out is long gone.
Max can knit, but these are meat sheep all the way so it’s just getting them up to weight that he’s focused on right now…
