Sugar Bowl Powder Adventures

A double batch of storms hit Northern California over the past week, delivering a whopping 60 inches (1.5 meters) of cold smoke to the Sierras in the span of seven days. No way we weren’t going to get amongst it! We had the mountain almost to ourselves on Friday with ankle- to boot-deep powder covering the slopes, it was a ton of fun. Mother nature continued to deliver into the weekend, and on Saturday we were greeted with boot- to knee-deep cold smoke and blue skies as Kevin and Benji Taylor joined us for the day. There wasn’t a whole lot of filming or pics being taken on Saturday – the snow was just too good – but below is a sample of the conditions. The untracked top-to-bottom run I had down Jerome Hill right under the chair first thing Saturday morning was one for the ages.

  1. All these photos look great, sort of the same as our family, but we learned PAPA needs to get his photo in there so you kids later on can laugh at your goofy clothes, and truly remember the day with you being there. Have fun and thanks for including me in the pink cotton ball collection! April Hope sheep are dry!
