With Mum off gallivanting in Colorado for the weekend the kids and I took the new Subaru up for its first snow adventure. Such a great snow rig, it’s going to be a fun vehicle to have in the family. There was 3-7 inches of fluff in the forecast, can’t let that go to waste! The accumulation rate in the morning was incredible, we’d end up with a lapful of styrofoam-like dry powder at the end of each chair (some pics below) and the temps were super cold for Tahoe. So cold, in fact, that none of us dressed correctly and we had to go into the lodge for a rare warm up stint at around 10:30AM. By the afternoon the new snow had covered enough of the previous week’s icy crud to venture into the trees. Good times. Apart from the ridiculous traffic on the way back out of Truckee, a very fun day with the groms.
Wow that is a lot of snow!! Looks like a real adventure for those who love the snow. Me, on the other hand, like things a little warmer. Old age I suppose! Like the new car.
How do you fit/comfortable in the new Subaru ? I
You certainly have plenty of snow. Our powder skiing needs a refresher. Needs to do some snow dancing.
It’s a great snow machine. We can fit in there comfortably the four of us with ski gear and lunches for a weekend. If we have to take a cooler it’s too small though, need the 4Runner for a longer trip.
