Rubicon Peak

Morning meetings and chores out the the way, Paris and I took advantage of the spring-ish weather to lap Rubicon Peak on the west shore of Lake Tahoe this afternoon. Some magic weather for the 2000+ foot climb to 9180 foot Rubicon Peak, we had views for miles from on top. We could see the Sutter Buttes and eastern peaks between Napa and Yolo County from the peak. Lily was a great companion on the way up, although she was spent after trudging through all the deep snow on the way back down! The north facing glades we skied from the summit back to the truck were magic, the shaded snow was in prime condition even with this week’s warm weather and we had (mostly) untracked lines from top to bottom… Another good Tuesday.
