For quite some time I’d been eyeing off a poach trail that drops down over the top of the Waldo Tunnel and the 101 freeway. From the Google Maps satellite it looked like a smooth and fun singletrack dropping onto Alexander Avenue on its way down into Sausalito. Sam and I explored it this morning: turns out it doesn’t drop onto Alexander but there is a hiking trail through the Eucalyptus that makes its way down into the streets of Sausalito. The Eucalyptus trail is pretty hairy, we both walked a lot of it, but fun to explore something new all the same. The top section of the Waldo Tunnel poach trail was a lot of fun, almost too steep to ride but a lot of fun. Sam took a rare trip over the handlebars, if only I’d been riding behind him with the camera!
