Alexander Valley Flooding

Both bridges connecting our side of Alexander Valley with the rest of the world are closed at the moment due to what the locals are calling the worst flooding in close to 70 years. Winery is closed, as is school, but fortunately I could still work from home. Went out to explore a little this afternoon, fortunately almost all of the structures were above the floodwater but hundreds of acres of vineyards were completely submerged. The torrent of water going under the Geyserville bridge was an amazing sight to see, a charging torrent of whitewater. Really feel for all the people downstream…
