Woodward Training in the Rain

With an incredible torrent of rain hitting us in the mountains – more than four inches are in the forecast for today alone (!) – Max’s first day of training was indoors, where he spent the morning working on his spins (and maybe a flip or two…) on the tramps at Woodward. I think he should have been on the snow for seven days already at this point… But who’s counting?! It was nice for Max to meet some of his coaches, and Max would live at Woodward if it was possible, so the abhorrent weather and lack of snow hasn’t put much of a damper on his spirits. But the rest of the family, well… I know I’d much rather the ripper conditions that blessed us for early season pow last year rather then the dirt that’s currently gracing the base elevations of every ski resort in the Tahoe basin right now. It looks like we may have a Christmas miracle on the way – with an astonishing 94 inches/2.4 meters of snow in the forecast over the next two weeks – but for now we’ll have to satisfy ourselves with getting the tree ready for Santa and baking sugar cookies in anticipation of December 25… And doing as many snow dances as we can.

Oh what fun when the big dump arrives!
    Best Wishes 🤩

  2. Looks like Woodward drill camp has begun. Assume when the snow arrives you will be on the slopes doing you tricks. I wish you well.
