I’ve been searching for some time for a better way to display images on The Lemon. I recently came across a Java-based plug-in from a guy named Rupert Morris called Lightbox II, which is built on top of the ever-popular Loghtbox JS. The thing is awesome… And talk about easy to use: it automatically attaches the necessary HTML to new and existing images to display them in a very aesthetically pleasing Java pop-up, click on any images in Lemon posts and you can see for yourself. The Pink Lemon has been experiencing some pretty elevated amounts of traffic this month. In fact, I would say the site has been blowing up. As of 14:13 PST today (09/23/08 or 23/09/08 for those of you down south) The Pink Lemon has received 50,692 hits during the month of September. Wow. I never really thought it’d take off like that, pretty cool to see.
The top post on the site is by far the Flitzebogen bow and arrow game I posted back in July; I guess Lemon visitors like the opportunity to see a chubby little bald guy get spiked with an arrow while trying to shoot the apple off his head!
