We received a visit from the Hamiltons over Independence Day long weekend, their tour of California took them from LA to Disneyland, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco and finally up to us in the Sonoma County wine country. Some magic weather for their visit and such fun to have a full house for the long weekend, all the kids had a blast together. I’m pretty sure Max is going to be missing his little blonde haired, blue eyed girlfriend when Alyssa makes her way back to Australia!

The Healdsburg Independence Day festivities were a lot of fun on Saturday, arts and crafts in the square, a New Orleans-style jazz band, face painting, duck races, as well as a parade for the kids. We took a bike – or in Max’s case, an electric truck – for each munchkin to cruise the circumference of the plaza for the parade, Max and Alyssa had all the oldies with grins from ear to ear as they made their way along the route.
